We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Gillman Automotive Group. As a Pre-Owned Vehicle Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles, while maintaining a positive relationship with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Vehicle Inspection: Examine pre-owned vehicles through a comprehensive inspection checklist to identify any issues or defects.
- Repair and Maintenance: Determine which vehicles should be returned to the auction due to frame or flood damage, and document all needed repairs and maintenance requirements with pre-owned service advisors for pre-approval.
- Communication: Communicate all safety issues and concerns on all vehicles to ensure a safe and reliable driving experience.
- Adherence to Company Guidelines: Follow company guidelines and processes on each and every unit to ensure that we put out a good used vehicle to sell to our clients.
- Estimates and Updates: Provide labor time and parts estimates to service advisors, and monitor repair time and update service advisors regularly.
- Training and Development: Attend company and factory training as needed to stay up-to-date with the latest technical bulletins and industry developments.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, with a preference for 2 or more years of automotive experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Operator Driver License and State Inspection License.
