You will be knowledgeable in all industry standards and support quality control, making continuous improvements, and team building at Speedway Motors.

Responsibilities include: designing new products with substantial input from engineering and other team members, preparing and editing drawings from Engineer layouts using SolidWorks, revising and updating existing drawings reflecting design changes from shop or R&D, creating drawings from samples and making new part numbers as required after business acquisition, reviewing blueprints, specifications, and drawings to ensure consistent accurate documentation of parts, reverse engineering parts using laser scanner and 3D printer as needed to build it graphically, documenting the drawings, dimensions, material needed and aspects of material, estimating the labor and process time to make the part in the shop, accurately creating Bills of Materials (BOM's) in SOP for the Machine Shop to create specified products, taking requests from Jira as requested from QC and other departments, maintaining all drawings and documentation in Engineering projects folder for reference using the Product Data Management (PDM), and constantly working to improve processes, making suggestions for productivity improvements, and optimizing team member workflow, while continuing to meet our customers' needs.

Requirements include: Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering with 0-3 years of experience, knowledge of Solid Works CAD platform and Microsoft Office suite, impeccable attention to detail, strong written and documentation skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize their importance is critical to department, and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
