Audit Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Auditor to lead complex audit engagements for non-profit and governmental entities. As a Senior Auditor at 1st Choice, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing audits while providing guidance to junior staff.
This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. The ideal candidate should have confidence in communication, particularly under high-pressure situations.
- Audit Planning and Execution:
- Lead and manage complex audit assignments, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial and single audit engagements, including designing audit plans and setting engagement timelines.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Present audit findings to senior management with clarity and precision, addressing any issues identified and recommending corrective actions.
- Draft and finalize detailed audit reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the audit area.
- Staff Oversight and Development:
- Review the work of junior auditors, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their professional growth.
- Monitor and assess audit engagement progress, ensuring quality and consistency across team outputs.
- Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Accounting preferred.
- A current and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
- Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in public accounting with a focus on managing increasingly complex audit engagements.
- Proven record of at least three (3) years auditing non-profit and governmental entities.
- Minimum of two (2) years supervising senior audit staff, particularly within the non-profit and governmental sectors.
- Education:
The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. At 1st Choice, we offer a competitive compensation package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
