We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our Real Estate team at EisnerAmper. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing legislative and administrative updates impacting real estate, REITs, real estate private equity, and debt fund clients. You will also be involved in thought leadership opportunities, technology initiatives, and developing and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and review legislative and administrative updates impacting real estate, REITs, real estate private equity, and debt fund clients.
- Develop and implement tax strategies for real estate clients, including structuring and transactional analysis.
- Collaborate with the Transaction Advisory team to provide multiple services relating to real estate transactions.
- Maintain relationships with real estate focused law firms to promote EisnerAmper's support of real estate and related transactions.
- Provide technical expertise on tax accounting methods applicable to real estate as an underlying asset.
- Assist with the review of fund documents, joint venture/lower tier partnership agreements, and the tax consequences of economic agreements.
- Follow economic, business, and real estate industry trends and communicate those trends to our real estate service teams, clients, and through content on our website.
- Attend and speak at industry events, respond to media inquiries, and develop training modules.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
- 10+ years of tax consulting experience.
- CPA certification.
- Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- Experience working with REITs.
