Tax Director

Pattern Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Income Tax to lead and manage the company's income tax reporting and tax planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the income tax reporting and tax planning activities, including overall income tax compliance execution, review, and filing of all US federal and state income tax returns, including foreign information filings.
- Provide input on the tax implications of business strategies and transactions, and engage with Pattern business leaders to ensure tax compliance.
- Mentor and develop the income tax team, and lead efforts to automate and streamline income tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Manage income tax risks, including audits and notices from tax authorities, and ensure the company's tax accounting is accurate and compliant.
- Manage the overall relationship, fees, and engagement of 3rd party tax compliance service providers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of tax reporting.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in corporate and/or public accounting, with a focus on US Corporate, Subchapter K (Passthrough), International, State, and local taxes.
- At least 4 years in a Big 4/National tax firm learning environment, with increasing client and personnel management responsibilities.
- Experience managing US, International, and global income tax compliance, ideally for privately owned partnerships.
- Experience managing and developing other individuals, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills, and above-average organizational skills.
- CPA certification.
- Advanced degree in Taxation.
- Experience with tax compliance software, such as Corptax.
- Experience with tax research software.
