Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team at Toyoda Gosei. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development of new and existing products, processes, and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage master engineering schedules for all projects, ensuring timely completion and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Write and implement equipment and tooling specifications, overseeing design, construction, installation, start-up, and trials to meet project objectives.
  • Create and obtain approval for all necessary documentation, including capital investment proposals and process documentation.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing processes that meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for capital investment, part cost, scrap, part performance, delivery, layout, cycle time, efficiency, safety, ergonomics, and quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain all documentation required for process development, including specifications, PFMEA's, risk analysis, process plans, PFD's, work combination tables, design reviews, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity tracking.
  • Lead and support Kaizen activities to continuously improve processes and eliminate defects.
  • Proactively identify and address process issues, utilizing root cause analysis and reporting to drive improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and TGKY procedures and best practices in all aspects of the job.
Requirements
  • Expert programming and troubleshooting skills with PLC, HMI, Robotics, and electronic control circuits.
  • Ability to write complex PLC programs from scratch and design/build control circuits.
  • Thorough understanding of networking protocols, including Ethernet, cc-link, serial communication, and addressing.
  • Experience in writing macros and IP addressing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to direct requirements effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain high productivity levels.
  • Ability to read drawings, identify critical characteristics, lead design reviews, and develop PFMEA's.
  • Capability to lead and conduct root cause analysis for current problems and potential occurrences.
  • Knowledge of Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new engineering principles and technologies.
  • Knowledge of TS and ISO requirements.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural work environment.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Communication and Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Project experience.
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other drafting software.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
  • Principles of calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced topics in math for analysis, design, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform high-level mathematical calculations and apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. Position Type/Expected Work Hours

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
