Job Summary

Baxter Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to serve as a Pre-Certification Specialist. This role will function as the primary liaison between our clinics, physician offices, and facilities regarding electronic order entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with physicians and offices regarding additional documentation needed to support medical necessity and reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers to obtain prior authorizations and ensure appropriate reimbursement.
  • Maintain regular communication with Clinic Managers and staff regarding discrepancies in orders, insurance eligibility, and denied pre-authorization requests.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas is required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare clinic and/or insurance eligibility/verification experience is preferred.
  • Preferred working knowledge of ICD 10, CPT, and HCPCS coding basics.
  • Proficient computer skills and EMR experience are required.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time-management skills are essential.
Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting within a hospital environment.
