Competitive Starting Salary with Shift Differential (2nd and 3rd shift)
- The selected candidates will be tasked with utilizing hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing tools to weld or join metal components or to fill voids, depressions, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Qualifications
Vocational training may substitute for experience.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Welding expertise through practical experience or vocational training.
- Capability to pass an initial weld assessment and to achieve AWS D1.1 Code certification within 60 days of being assigned to a welding role.
- Willingness and ability to work Off-shift – primarily 3rd shift.
- Experience in welding, cutting, and/or fabrication of metal components.
- Proficiency in wire feed welding, MIG, or TIG welding.
The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and thrive in a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute welding tasks using M-I-G methods and with a torch welder.
- Proven ability to perform cutting using a hand torch.
- Demonstrated capability to interpret blueprints and diagrams, determining critical dimensions and tolerances with measuring instruments.
- Read and understand blueprints, process routings, and schematics for the installation of various truck and body components – both large and small – onto truck chassis utilizing torch, welder, winches, and hand tools.
- Conduct re-work as necessary.
- Deliver quality and timely workmanship on each work order while adhering to daily time standards.
- Proven ability to comply with established safety and quality protocols.
- Embrace a team-oriented approach, being adaptable to transition between tasks to support production schedules.
