Semi-Trailer Maintenance Technician

Location: La Vergne, TN

Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.08 to $25.96, based on experience
- Overtime pay available after 40 hours per week
- Standard work week consists of 40 hours
- Annual salary adjustments based on performance
- Bi-weekly pay schedule

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Typical hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility required based on business needs
- Most work is performed on-site, with some tasks at customer locations
- Indoor shop work primarily, with some outdoor tasks using service trucks

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance on semi-trailers
- Follow work orders and technical manuals accurately
- Maintain documentation of completed maintenance and repairs
- Repair or replace defective components and systems
- Test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations
- Organize parts and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications:
- Experience with DOT inspections is preferred but not mandatory
- At least one year of hands-on experience with semi-trailers
- Minimum one year of experience working on braking systems
- Familiarity with managing preventative maintenance programs for semi-trailers
- DOT medical card required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems
- Understanding of federal regulations and inspection requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, primarily tires
- Must possess own tools and a valid U.S. driver's license; CDL not required.
