Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant II Certified provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and teams in an outpatient clinic setting. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and preparing exam rooms.
  • Assists healthcare providers with patient care activities, such as treatments, examinations, and procedures.
  • Collects and documents patient information, including medical and social history.
  • Reviews patient records to determine necessary health screenings and ensures exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Provides patient education and instructions on after-visit care and procedures.
  • Assists with patient registration, scheduling, and referrals.

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant certification by a recognized organization.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • At least one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
