Your Role
A Cashier in our hospital cafe plays a vital role in enhancing the experiences of patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. Through warm and attentive customer interactions, they foster a friendly and inviting environment. This position transcends mere transactions, cultivating a supportive atmosphere that enriches the overall experience for all individuals within the healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately operate the cash register with a precision rate of 99.85% (plus or minus).
- Establish and maintain the appropriate cashier bank.
- Record cash received and charges processed.
- Assess customer needs and direct them to the relevant department for follow-up as necessary.
- Gather data for cash management.
- Restock refrigerators with beverages, condiments, and other retail products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disposing of waste.
- Prepare and organize items required for meal service.
- Deliver exceptional service to all patrons.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card are required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria, including the capacity to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide documentation for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
