Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of medical records, including preparation, organization, analysis, and filing.
  • Ensure a systematic approach to maintaining both open and closed medical records, facilitating access for authorized personnel.
  • Support the facility in safeguarding the confidentiality of medical records and upholding residents' privacy rights.
  • Assign appropriate ICD-9-CM codes for patient conditions upon admission, during their stay, and at discharge.
  • Manage procurement of office supplies and forms as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Assist nursing staff with general administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Order and maintain inventory of all medical supplies necessary for patient care.
  • Monitor supply levels to ensure consistent availability and manage expenditures in accordance with budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend effectively.
