Job Title

The Corporate Financial Director plays a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, analysis, and planning to fuel Team SCG's growth and operational success.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 per year

Bonus Potential: Annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary, depending on individual performance and the company's performance during the applicable year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Support external and internal reporting requirements.
  • General Ledger Oversight:
    • Maintain and oversee the general ledger to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
    • Reconcile and review GL accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close:
    • Lead the month-end and year-end processes to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
    • Review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
    • Ensure adherence to deadlines for closing activities.
  • Profitability Analysis and Expense Reduction:
    • Analyze P&L statements to identify cost-saving opportunities through resource optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
    • Implement lean management practices to streamline processes and reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Treasury and Cash Flow Management:
    • Improve cash flow by optimizing accounts receivable and payable processes.
    • Monitor liquidity to ensure sufficient working capital for daily operations and future investments.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, sales tax documentation, and financial reporting standards to avoid legal or financial penalties.
Additional Duties
  • Technology and Financial Systems:
    • Collaborate with VP of Operations on WMS implementation.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
    • Support other departments in evaluating, implementing, and improving systems and software.
    • Leverage technology for data analysis, reporting, and automation of financial processes.
    • Evaluate financial tools and platforms to improve operational efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics, KPIs, and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor business health.
    • Create dashboards for real-time tracking of financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Develop and manage a finance team consisting of a Finance Manager and two Finance Specialists.
    • Foster their professional growth and optimize departmental structure to increase team bandwidth and morale.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field is required. CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management and analysis.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
  • Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30 PM.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
