Assistant Center Manager Job Description

The UPS Store #4537 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Center Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Center Manager in the day-to-day operations of our retail location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personnel Management: Assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Scheduling and Meetings: Schedule work assignments and facilitate weekly or monthly staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Customer Service: Monitor, evaluate, and maximize customer service delivery and customer satisfaction to drive business growth.
  • Marketing and Sales: Help develop and implement the store marketing program to increase sales and revenue.
  • Financial Management: Assist with managing Center financials, preparing and providing reporting to ensure financial stability.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Employee Management: Review daily employee timesheets and submit for payroll processing to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintenance and Organization: Help oversee Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization to ensure a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school desired.
  • Experience: One year of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or other relevant industry; P&L experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites; outstanding phone skills; strong customer service skills and abilities.
