Job Summary:

The Nutrition Services Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food to students and staff in a school setting. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food for students and staff, utilizing a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Ensure food safety and quality standards are met at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
  • Assist with food deliveries and inventory management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous cooking experience in a school or commercial kitchen setting preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals. The Nutrition Services Cook must be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of students and staff.
