Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in providing quality care to residents within our community. This position requires adherence to both Federal and State regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by Seasons Retirement Community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct admissions for new residents, including all necessary assessments and documentation.
  • Develop and implement acute and long-term care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Assist in clinical system tracking, such as monitoring wounds or infection control, under the guidance of the director.
  • Offer general health consultations to residents and their families.
  • Communicate any changes in resident health to physicians and family members, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring resident safety.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Facilitate educational sessions for both residents and staff to promote health awareness.
  • Understand and participate in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
  • Manage discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as required.
Qualifications

Education: Completion of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in senior care or a related field.
Licensure: Current Licensed Practical Nurse's License in the practicing state, along with CPR certification.
Language Proficiency: Adequate proficiency in English for effective communication and emergency response.
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy.

Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess a high tolerance for working under pressure and the ability to manage critical situations with professionalism and composure.
