Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology.

Job Summary:

The CRNA will provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes conducting preoperative evaluations, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients' vital signs and other indicators of anesthesia's effects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preoperative evaluations to assess patients' conditions and determine the most appropriate anesthetic technique.
  • Prepare and administer anesthesia, including giving drugs and monitoring vital signs.
  • Conduct postoperative follow-up to ensure patients' optimal recovery.
  • Supervise Registered Nurse Anesthetist (RNA) students in clinical instruction and the administration of anesthetics.
  • Participate in call coverage with faculty anesthesiologists.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing with a DNP degree preferred.
  • Current nursing license in the state of Ohio.
  • Certificate of Authority to practice in Ohio as a CRNA by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Current certification or recertification as a nurse anesthetist by the NBCRNA.
