About the Role: Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a dedicated Retail & Basket Maker who shares our passion for food quality, exceptional customer service, and community engagement. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to provide a unique selection of freshly baked breads, pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches, all crafted with wholesome ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and actively listen to guests, confidently suggesting meal and gift options to both new and returning customers.
  • Engage warmly with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work efficiently, learn from experiences, and proactively assist other departments as needed.

Availability: Must be available to work Monday through Friday during peak lunch hours. Saturdays are required based on business needs. Additional hours may be necessary during peak seasons, including weekends and extended hours. Responsibilities also include organizing and leading a team for holiday basket execution and merchandise management.

Merchandising Duties: Primary tasks include greeting and welcoming guests, merchandising, daily basket preparation, stocking shelves, providing personal shopping assistance, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and supporting front-of-house operations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service or retail experience.
  • Strong understanding of compliance with local, state, and federal food handling and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexible scheduling is essential, as shifts may vary based on customer traffic and seasonal demands, starting as early as 7 AM from Monday to Saturday.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
