Nurse Practitioner

About the Role:
Halifax Health UF Health Medical Center of Deltona Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, collect, and document data to identify nursing diagnoses.
- Establish, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care and discharge plans.
- Provide responsible and accountable nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice standards and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
- Engage in collaborative relationships with peers and other professional disciplines, applying principles of leadership and assuming responsibility for professional growth and accountability.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Certifications as required by individual unit/area.
- Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians, and ancillary department personnel.
- Personal professional development, accountability, organization, and leadership in the performance of professional nursing practice.
- Customer-service orientation and ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with co-workers and key stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
