Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Michael Foods. As a Sanitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees, customers, and consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, and sanitize production equipment and production work areas using pressure sprayers, foamers, and other sanitation equipment.
  • Assist in the setup and start of designated production equipment, such as ovens and pasteurizers.
  • Participate in Clean Out of Place (COP) procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Inspect and maintain rodent control stations to prevent pest infestations.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation for the position.
  • Assist in production jobs as needed and work collaboratively with the team.
  • Operate power jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure SQF certification.
Requirements
  • No prior experience or training is required, but a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions are essential.
  • Ability to read and write simple sentences, add and subtract two-digit numbers, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Preferred qualifications include basic mechanical skills, ability to climb ladders, and knowledge of Confined Space Entry procedures and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO).
