Position Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who possesses a strong commitment to quality and a keen interest in contributing to a dynamic, innovative organization. This position involves the creation and modification of both 3D and 2D models, components, and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing both conceptual and detailed designs for Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) systems in accordance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and revise 3D and 2D CAD models, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Create both conceptual and detailed designs for LV and HV systems that comply with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to execute engineering modifications for existing and new products.
  • Document changes to existing products through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Design and prototype various components for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Engineer components for production, including injection-molded, sheet metal, machined, and welded parts.
  • Engage with suppliers and the supply chain to specify and procure materials and components that meet engineering specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, from initial design to product launch.
  • Monitor relevant engineering and project tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in parametric solid modeling using CAD software.
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented in design and documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and basic electrical components is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
