Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Effectively prioritize and manage project engineering workload, applying innovative problem-solving skills and critical thinking to daily tasks.
  • Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and other team members.
  • Procurement and Submittal Management: Manage the procurement/submittal process for assigned scope to meet the project schedule, ensuring correct materials and quantities arrive on time.
  • Risk Management: Help mitigate any risks related to schedule, labor, materials, and installation.
  • Issue Resolution: Develop details, alternate methods, or a sequence of work that brings resolution to issues.
  • Field Execution: Collaborate with our field leaders to execute work at a high level.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor quality of work in place and participate in the GLY QA/QC program.
  • Project Meetings: Participate in project meetings, prepare and distribute accurate meeting minutes.
  • Communication: Communicate project needs in a timely manner to appropriate team members, including the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Process Adherence: Follow and use all GLY PE best practice procedures, logs, process, software, and technologies.
  • Close-out Activities: Assemble close-out information, including as-builts and warranties.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural, etc.) or related field of study.
  • Experience: 2 or more years project engineering experience with a General Contractor that self-performs work; relevant military and/or intern experience counts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and Auto-CAD required; knowledge of REVIT, Sketch-Up, and On-screen Take-Off, PlanGrid, Smartsheet, and Enterprise Resource Planning software (e.g. CMiC) a plus.
  • Specialized Experience: Other specialized experience or accreditations preferred, e.g. LEED, DBIA, EIT, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; a positive attitude and ability to work well with others; adaptable and willing to learn and openness to new ideas.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 and represents a range of experience from 2 to 5 years.
