Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with fellow Territory Managers, your primary duties will include:

• Cultivating strong customer relationships within a collaborative sales environment.

• Overseeing delivery schedules as set by the logistics team; resolving any issues that arise during the order fulfillment process (e.g., delivery errors, shortages, inventory issues).

• Communicating with clients to manage accounts receivable, working alongside the finance department to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances in accordance with established credit terms.

• Utilizing available resources to maximize penetration in key markets and facilitate the opening of new accounts.

• Generating new business opportunities by identifying potential clients through market research, networking, and participation in industry events and conferences.

• Staying informed about market trends, product advancements, and competitor offerings; sharing valuable insights with clients as part of our commitment to service excellence.

• Traveling to meet with current and prospective clients to ensure timely product delivery, which may involve lifting and transporting items weighing up to 75lbs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS

• Internal: Work closely with the District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service teams.

• External: Engage with customers, suppliers, and potential clients.


WORKING CONDITIONS

• Regularly operate outside of the office environment, visiting clients in varying weather conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of sales experience is preferred.

• Experience in the foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality sectors is advantageous.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective presentation capabilities.

• Proven ability to build relationships and conduct cold calls to secure new business.

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

• A competitive and results-oriented mindset.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.

• Team-oriented approach to collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office; experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce, is preferred.
