Emergency Department Technician

At SSM Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team. As an Emergency Department Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Job Summary:The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care and support to patients and families in the Emergency Department. This includes taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures. The Emergency Department Technician will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, and for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families in the Emergency Department.
- Take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist with procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience in a healthcare setting. You will also need to be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and have a strong understanding of patient care and safety protocols.
