The Role

We are seeking a Project Architect to contribute to a variety of design projects, research, and conduct analysis to support our Industrial Design practice.

The ideal candidate will enhance and assist the practice's leadership team, helping it grow and expand its presence and portfolio through intentional project pursuits and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects from design concept through final completion of deliverables and submissions with a high level of quality
  • Conduct analysis of various data sets, develop and document design and urban planning concepts, and create project presentations
  • Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team
  • Assist with project management and serve as a key client liaison
  • Provide technical assistance on topics related to planning, the regulatory environment, urban design, and site design for various project types and scales
  • Attend meetings with public- and private-sector clients, including governmental entities
  • Represent Lamar Johnson Collaborative in the community and at civic events
  • Familiarity with public engagement tools and processes
  • Apply planning knowledge and practice
  • Develop intentional civic and public engagement tools and processes

Requirements

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant, demonstrable experience
  • Demonstrated competence with AutoCAD/Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, and 3D modeling tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to graphically explain ideas
  • Competent presentation skills
  • Demonstrates a consistent understanding of the delivery and implementation of design thinking
