The Practical Nursing Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering quality nursing care to patients within a healthcare facility, under the guidance of medical professionals and the Clinical Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Specialist:
1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients.
2. Organize and maintain examination rooms with necessary supplies and materials.
3. Compile a list of required medical supplies.
4. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
5. Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during patient evaluations and treatments.
6. Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to medications and treatments to physicians.
7. Educate patients and their families on diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
8. Prioritize appointments for patients in urgent situations.
9. Welcome patients and prepare them for medical examinations.
10. Screen patients for relevant information.
11. Guide patients in the collection of samples and tests.
12. Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other essential information.
13. Post results from tests and examinations.
14. Respond to and refer incoming patient inquiries related to treatment.
15. Instruct patients and families regarding medication and treatment protocols.
16. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, as well as confidentiality policies.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned by healthcare providers, coordinators, and management in line with office protocols.
18. Uphold confidentiality and exercise discretion when managing patient medical records and information.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong understanding of medical practices, administrative procedures, and organizational policies.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
3. Proficient in administrative functions.
4. Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility.
5. Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic record systems.
6. Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
7. Proven capacity to manage confidential information with discretion, adapt to competing demands, and deliver high-quality customer service.
8. Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Must possess an active LPN license.
2. Completion of an accredited LPN program is required.
3. A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is preferred, with clinic experience being advantageous.
4. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
