Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our production and packaging machinery. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, along with the ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and repair various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Manage multiple repair tasks while prioritizing maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Utilize alternative components when necessary to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Execute repairs following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to production requests for maintenance support.
  • Initiate requests for necessary parts and materials.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, adjustments, and replacements.
  • Interpret repair manuals and schematics to guide maintenance efforts.
  • Assist other technicians with basic maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tag-out safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members across shifts regarding machine conditions and maintenance updates.
  • Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as multimeters and digital thermometers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with stainless welding, lathe, and milling operations is advantageous.
