Position Title: Instructional Technology Support Specialist II

Department: Educational Media Center

Overview: The Boston University Medical Campus IT - Educational Media is in search of a highly skilled professional in audio/visual and instructional technology. This role is primarily evening-based, with standard working hours from 1 PM to 9:30 PM, focusing on providing support to clients in classrooms and event venues regarding their audio/visual and educational technology requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom technology systems and services for both curriculum-related and non-curriculum activities.
  2. Participate in various project teams, taking on roles such as Project Coordinator, Project Lead, Technical Lead, or Client Lead for events requiring extensive planning and ongoing projects.
  3. Deliver exceptional support to a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students.
  4. Be available for on-call duties and provide support for occasional weekend events, demonstrating flexibility in hours as service demands evolve.

Requirements:

All newly hired staff and faculty are required to comply with Boston University's COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster policy within 30 days of hire. Documentation of vaccination or requests for medical or religious exemptions must be submitted.
