The State of Oregon is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator to join our team at the Oregon State Penitentiary. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a difference in the lives of Adults in Custody while developing and implementing recreational programs and leisure time activities.
As a Recreation Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing a wide range of social, cultural, and athletic skill acquisition and leisure time activities. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure that programs meet the needs of Adults in Custody and promote positive behavior change.
Your role will also involve supervising and instructing Adults in Custody, volunteers, and community participants in various recreational activities. You will maintain inventory, requisition, and order supplies, as well as develop and organize events, programs, and schedules. Collaborating with team members and other groups to complete tasks and projects will also be an essential part of your job.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing high-quality services will be key to success in this role.
This recruitment will establish an eligible list for future vacancies within the institution. The starting salary for this position is approximately $43,514 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
