About the Role

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technician to join our team in the Pulmonary Clinic. As a Pulmonary Technician, you will play a vital role in the therapy, management, and care of patients with pulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect pulmonary care services, including administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures.
  • Observe and monitor signs and symptoms, general behavior, and physical response to respiratory care treatment and diagnostic testing.
  • Schedule and perform pulmonary function testing, spirometry, peak flows, pulse oximetry, and administration of bronchodilators as ordered by physicians.
  • Maintain oxygen tanks, pulmonary equipment, and needed supplies for the facility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Vocational/Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) approved by the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross is required.
  • 1+ year experience as a pulmonary technician in an ambulatory care setting, working knowledge of cardio/pulmonary procedures and equipment relative to patient care, and proven team player with excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
