Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Living Legends Health. As a COTA, you will work under the direction of an occupational therapist to conduct treatment procedures that aim to improve a patient's day-to-day functioning despite impairment or limited mobility.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing equipment for treatment and occasional clerical duties
  • Assisting occupational therapists with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports
  • Providing patient care and support, including transferring, lifting, and positioning patients
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure
  • CPR certification
  • Physical strength to lift between 50-100lbs
  • Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
  • Respect for residents' privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
  • Qualities of responsibility, maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with residents and other staff members
