Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with various healthcare services, including obtaining specimens and conducting routine lab studies.
  • Assist with administrative functions, such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments.
  • Serve as a trained preceptor for new medical assistant orientation and instruction of medical assistant students.
  • Meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days of employment date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
