Lead Radiology Technologist Job Summary

The Lead Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in the Radiology Department, overseeing the technical and support staff to ensure efficient patient throughput and effective utilization of equipment and human resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and assess competency of technical and support staff
  • Monitor and maintain Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities
  • Ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable and timely
  • Administer contrast media in accordance with contrast policies and procedures
  • Follow Patient Care and Safety Policies and Procedures
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an America Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology or meet requirements for Texas certification of Medical Radiologic Technologist on an education-equivalent basis
  • Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
