We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pharmacy services and assistance under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, ensuring seamless medication delivery.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
- Repackage bulk medications, adhering to quality control standards.
- Support additional projects, perform administrative tasks, and collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve departmental goals.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- LIC PHARMT: Illinois licensure as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB required for all those licensed after 2008. Newly licensed Technicians have 2 years from license effective date to obtain their CPhT.
- 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
