Position Overview:

The Medication Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to residents. This position involves:

  • Administering prescribed medications to residents with precision and care.
  • Documenting medication orders, processing incoming medications, and ensuring timely administration.
  • Conducting essential nursing procedures, including monitoring vital signs and providing necessary treatments.
  • Implementing strict safety protocols to protect both residents and staff from potential hazards.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of care and medication management.
  • Observing residents closely and reporting any changes in their condition to the appropriate parties.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Nurse's Aide or have completed the required training and company-specific medication administration course.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout shifts.
