Job Title: GNC Engineer, Starlink Controls

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space technology to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As a GNC Engineer, Starlink Controls, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying the guidance, navigation, and control systems for our Starlink satellite constellation.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop satellite attitude control and momentum management systems
  • Implement electromechanical control systems such as solar array actuators, antenna gimbals, and high-bandwidth active optics
  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulations using C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Implement, validate, and deploy production software pertinent to the systems described above
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, physics, or an engineering discipline
  • Software development experience in C++
  • Experience with design and analysis of closed-loop control systems
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree or PhD in physics or an engineering discipline
  • Strong understanding of classical rigid body dynamics, orbital mechanics, modeling, and simulation
  • Direct experience with spacecraft operations and flight software development, testing, and deployment
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
