ChristianaCare is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief of Transplant Surgery to lead our established renal transplant program. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will play a crucial role in the continued growth and success of our program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the renal transplant program, overseeing all aspects of the transplantation process, including laparoscopic donor experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program performance and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in the training of surgical residents and contribute to clinical research initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Fellowship training in an ASTS accredited abdominal transplantation program.
  • Board certification in general surgery or urology.
  • Proven track record in leadership, program building, and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI).
  • Experience in laparoscopic donor surgery and transplantation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
