CMTA Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in Consulting Engineering and will work with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients. The position will involve designing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering and will have experience with Revit/AutoCAD. The position will also involve interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who thrives on helping clients and has a strong technical background. The position will involve working with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients and will require a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and research.

The position will also involve designing and specifying system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements. The successful candidate will have experience with construction administration and submittals and will be able to review contractor submittals to determine conformance with contract documents.

The position is responsible for designing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems, for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects. Additional duties of the position are as follows but not limited:

  • Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
  • Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
  • Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.

The position will also involve working with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients and will require a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and research.

The successful candidate will have experience with electrical engineering infrastructure design, construction administration and submittals, power distribution and lighting systems, energy systems, renewable energy systems, and AutoCAD & REVIT.
