Job Description:

CMTA Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems for various projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Consulting Engineering. You will work closely with our team of engineers and other consultants/design team members to design energy efficient buildings for various clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and specifying electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems
  • Leading and guiding design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors
  • Providing guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers
  • Preparing, reading, and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Professionally stamping drawings, preparing affidavits, etc.
  • Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
  • Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
  • Confering with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
  • Applying knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who thrives on helping clients and has a strong technical background. Experience with project management and business development is a plus.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience with MEP design
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Massachusetts PE registration is required
  • Experience with internal and external project management
  • Experience in MEP design and specifications
  • Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships
  • Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors
  • Experience with Revit/AutoCAD
