Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician II to join our team at Covenant Health. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and guidance to patients in daily activities
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment
  • Report patient complaints and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse
  • Complete necessary paperwork and document patient care
  • Implement emergency policies and procedures
  • Work with the Nurse Manager and team to structure and monitor the unit milieu
  • Participate in training and orientation of new staff members
  • Facilitate patient care goals and monitor patient activities
  • Perform vital signs, collect urine specimens, and assist with daily living activities
  • Understand and follow hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a behavioral health setting or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
