This entry-level position involves measuring and monitoring environmental and engineering parameters, as well as assisting in regulation review and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance departments to ensure compliance with Title V air permit requirements.
  • Assist with data collection for environmental monitoring and compliance.
  • Evaluate monitoring data and identify changes in trends that require further investigation and potential mitigation.
  • Assist with preparation and review of regulatory compliance reports for the Title V air permit.
  • Coordinate and supervise the annual fluoride in forage sampling program.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual sampling for the facility's drinking water system.
  • Ensure compliance with backflow assembly requirements for drinking water.
  • Maintain a license as a Water Systems Operator.
  • Support the waste program manager by taking samples and advising waste vendors onsite.
  • Complete the submission of the annual Tier II Report.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of the Underground Storage Tank.
  • Organize and participate in events such as the annual Environmental Fair.
  • Work with the environmental team to ensure compliance with the groundwater consent order and Bevill Consent Decree.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field or post-secondary degree from an accredited university.
  • 0-2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and manage projects.
  • Interest in learning various environmental requirements and permitting guidelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
