Overview:
As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health outcomes of patients with cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at promoting risk reduction and facilitating behavioral changes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and develop individualized exercise plans for each patient, ensuring a focus on safety and efficacy.
2. Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise prescriptions as necessary to optimize health benefits.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for patients.
Certifications Required:
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of employment
Travel Requirements:
This role may involve travel to various campuses as required, although the primary location is based in Galveston.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline
- At least one year of clinical experience
- CPR certification and ACLS certification within the specified timeframe
- American College of Sports Medicine certification to be acquired within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a health-related field
Compensation:
Salary is set at $30.59 per hour, commensurate with experience.
