JOB TITLE: IT Support Specialist for Corporate Operations

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of Field Services IT

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The IT Support Specialist is a proficient and committed IT professional integral to the healthcare team. This role is crucial in delivering vital technical assistance to guarantee the seamless functioning of information technology systems within the corporate office setting. Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software challenges, aiding end-users, and collaborating with fellow IT personnel to uphold a dependable and secure IT infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Technical Support:
    1. Respond swiftly to IT support requests, ensuring ongoing assistance within the corporate office.
    2. Deliver both on-site and remote support to end-users, facilitating prompt resolution of technical issues.
    3. Oversee ticketing systems and ensure proper assignment based on the needs of the corporate environment.
    4. Possess a strong understanding of ticketing processes.
  2. Hardware Management:
    1. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, scanners, and other hardware as required.
    2. Collaborate with vendors to support and implement new systems and devices.
    3. Document vendor procedures and work with helpdesk teams to create knowledge base articles for future reference.
  3. User Education:
    1. Develop user documentation and guides to assist staff in effectively utilizing technology.
    2. Provide post-implementation support for new corporate initiatives, addressing hardware, software, and access issues.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    1. Engage closely with other IT team members to resolve complex technical challenges and contribute to ongoing projects.
    2. Communicate effectively with end-users to gather information and offer clear explanations of technical solutions.
    3. Develop playbooks and guides to integrate other team leads and technologies.
    4. Possess a solid understanding of servers and networks to provide guidance on technical issues.
  5. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant IT experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  6. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  7. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The Specialist should demonstrate empathy towards customer needs while proactively advocating for successful implementations.
  8. RELATIONSHIP BUILDING: The ability to cultivate trust and relationships is essential, as this role will serve as a catalyst for enhancing a structured delivery framework.
  9. TRAVEL: Primarily focused on providing full-time support at the corporate office, with potential travel for corporate events as necessary.
  10. ON-CALL/OUT OF HOURS: The Specialist will be required to assist with on-call duties and may occasionally work outside standard office hours.

EDUCATION:

A degree or equivalent practical experience is required for this position.
