As a Microbiologist at Solenis, you will be responsible for leading R&D efforts in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of new materials for potential use across our various business areas. You will perform a broad variety of microbiology tests daily, develop internal procedures, and act as a technical advisor to technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D efforts in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of new materials
  • Perform microbiology tests daily, develop internal procedures, and act as a technical advisor to technicians
  • Prepare necessary reagents and media, record experimental data, maintain a laboratory notebook, make calculations, and prepare data reports
  • Assist with inventory management, use various laboratory equipment, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in microbiology, biology, or relevant technical program with 3 years' experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and carry out standard methods (SOP's) with aseptic technique
  • Working knowledge of safe microbiology lab function, safe usage of autoclaves, and BSL2 Labs
