Position Overview:
The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a dedicated Hearing Aid Technician to support a dynamic team of audiologists. This role is essential in providing technical assistance, conducting repairs, and managing hearing devices under the guidance of licensed professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Assist licensed audiologists in managing patient care related to hearing devices.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic communication style with patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in audiology or hearing aid dispensing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Current Texas Audiology Assistant License or eligibility for licensure.
- Three years of technical experience with hearing aids or assistive devices.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
