We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Methodist Health System. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments, identifying specific nutrition diagnoses and developing personalized plans of care.
- Implement and communicate nutrition plans of care with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless delivery of interventions and actions.
- Monitor and evaluate indicators and outcomes related to nutrition diagnoses, goals, and intervention strategies to determine progress and inform revisions to plans of care.
- Integrate evidence-based practice into daily work, staying current with best available research and applying it to patient care.
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring compliance with established nutrition care plans.
- Collaborate with other clinical dietitians, dietetic interns, medical students, and allied staff to share knowledge and advance practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition, or equivalent required; Master's degree in dietetics preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous clinical experience with patients across the aging continuum preferred; experience in health promotion and program development also preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required within 3 months of hire; Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist (LMNT) certification in the State of Nebraska also required within 3 months of hire.
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements and current Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process.
- Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and patients; excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret lab results related to nutritional status and provide transportation to other campus and/or work-related locations within a reasonable timeframe.
