About the Position:
As a General Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you will be the driving force behind our restaurant's success. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver an outstanding food service experience to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include training and guiding restaurant staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a safe, hygienic, and efficient manner, and guaranteeing that our guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, train, and mentor Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops
- Direct and allocate tasks to restaurant staff to uphold operational standards
- Ensure compliance with company handbooks, policies, and procedures
- Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures
- Develop staff schedules and adjust staffing levels as necessary
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders in line with cost control measures
- Maintain accurate records of staff and payroll information
- Encourage a customer-focused culture among employees
- Address guest inquiries promptly and courteously; escalate issues as necessary
- Conduct interviews and recruit restaurant staff to maintain adequate staffing
- Prepare operational reports and create action plans based on financial and sales trends
- Implement marketing initiatives
- Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business or restaurant management is preferred
- A minimum of two years of experience in restaurant management (QSR experience is a plus), with the ability to manage shifts independently
- Availability to work at least five days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding of recruitment practices and labor regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, basic accounting, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems effectively
- Excellent decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
- Adherence to SONIC's appearance and hygiene standards
