Primary Care Physician Opportunity in California Community

We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our team as a locum tenens primary care provider in a beautiful California community. This temporary position offers a flexible start date and extends until the permanent position is filled.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse panel of adult and pediatric patients, potentially including some chronic pain management. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient histories, performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses and injuries, and developing effective treatment plans.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings.
- Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system, ensuring chart closure within 72 hours.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
- An active and unrestricted California (CA) medical license.
- Board-certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty is preferred. We will also consider board-eligible (BE) physicians within five years of residency completion.
- DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) licensure is also welcome.
- Experience in an outpatient primary care setting is preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in primary care medicine.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families of all ages.
- A commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
