Position Overview:

The Entertainment Finance Group (EF) specializes in structuring and underwriting financial solutions for various entities within the entertainment sector. As a seasoned corporate finance expert, you will be integral to the Portfolio Management Group (PMG), supporting the EF lending operations. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating credit risk factors and determining appropriate ratings in line with established guidelines.

In your role as a Credit Risk Manager within PMG, you will implement credit risk management strategies tailored to the Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB) and specifically the Entertainment Finance sector.

The entertainment finance landscape is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This role offers a rewarding experience for those who thrive in an energetic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a designated portfolio of clients, ensuring thorough due diligence and regular reviews.
  • Analyze credit risk, provide accurate ratings, and prepare detailed credit analyses in accordance with MUFG's operational guidelines.
  • Communicate critical account information effectively to various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business lines to identify and structure prospective transactions, addressing any structural risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies, participating in portfolio examinations as necessary.
  • Mentor and support junior analysts in the credit risk management process, enhancing their analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; CFA, MBA, or a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate lending, preferably within the entertainment sector.
  • Strong credit analysis and financial modeling skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with standard banking products, including loans and derivatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program is a significant advantage.

Success in this role requires the ability to prepare comprehensive, objective, and risk-based credit application packages for various transactions while adhering to internal policies.
