About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Technician I to join our team at EDP Energias de Portugal S.A. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of our operating solar generation sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Collaborate with the Remote Operations Control Center to ensure seamless operations and maintenance.
  • Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in PV solar or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Ability to frequently perform physical tasks, including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Ability to walk up to 0.5 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing between 60 and 100 pounds.
